Overview

Cambridge or ORION - a design that offers an advantage

The Rolmako field leveling roller is a fully hydraulic design suitable for modern farms demanding high-quality, efficient, and durable equipment. The Rolmako field leveling roller meets stringent requirements for compactness; despite its large working widths, it can be folded to a transport width of less than 3.0 m, facilitating convenient, easy, and safe travel on public roads. The hydraulic system allows the entire process of unfolding to the working position and folding to the transport position to be performed from the tractor cabin without the need for additional maneuvering or stepping out. The Cambridge roller is ideal for pre- and post-sowing treatments, significantly impacting crop quality. It retains soil moisture effectively, making it particularly useful in dry conditions. It consists of alternately mounted toothed discs and flat rings that rotate independently during travel on the field. These elements are self-cleaning due to the difference in rotational speed, preventing soil clogging. Orion rollers are utilized for cultivating arable land and grasslands. Equipped with Orion rings, the roller is perfect for pre-sowing cultivation. On grasslands, the Orion roller stimulates grass tillering, assists in sowing, and maintains existing resources. It is also effective for stubble cultivation, aiding in the distribution of post-harvest residue, especially when combined with a cutting knife roller.

Preparing the seedbed is more efficient and straightforward

Rolmako rollers are engineered for additional pre-sowing soil cultivation, particularly under challenging, dry conditions. These rollers efficiently crush clods and compact the soil due to their substantial mass, enhancing its absorption capacity. Retaining soil moisture promotes vigorous and uniform plant emergence, even during droughts. The Rolmako roller is versatile for use both before and after sowing, with post-sowing applications speeding up plant vegetation. An added benefit is the reduced risk of damage and excessive wear to cultivation machinery due to stones. As it moves, the Rolmako roller presses stones deeper into the soil, thus minimizing the risk of obstructing seeding equipment. Its unique frame design adapts to the terrain, ensuring uniform pressure across the entire working width. The overlapping roller sections ensure consistent operation over the entire width, even on uneven fields and slight headlands. Rolling also offers an effective method for clearing stones from the field. Optionally, the roller can feature stone containers for transporting boulders and adding extra weight. The rollers can be equipped with a dual-circuit brake system for pneumatic or hydraulic systems, according to user preferences.

Many technical solutions tailored to user preferences

Rolmako rollers are available in working widths ranging from 6.2 m to 9.4 m, with a choice of working rings. These include a Cambridge ring with a diameter of 530 mm or a spheroidal cast iron ORION ring with a diameter of 500 mm. Both types are designed for challenging conditions, but for grasslands, sticky and sandy soils, and predominantly post-sowing tasks, the ORION variant is recommended. An additional option is the hydraulically controlled Crossboard drag, ideal for spring soil cultivation, preliminary surface leveling, and furrow crumbling. Made of hardened springs and bent working attachments, the drag breaks up clods and levels the field, creating an optimal pre-sowing surface. It performs well on stony fields as it does not pull stones to the surface. For difficult conditions, an optional stabilizing beam can be mounted, connecting the working elements into one unit for improved leveling effects. When a hard crust forms on the field surface, the aggressive DoubleKnife tine skid is appropriate. Another available option is the front cutting knife roller, designed for intensive shredding of post-harvest residues from corn and rapeseed and green mass of catch crops. Both the Crossboard and the knife roller are controlled from the tractor cabin using a hydraulic circuit.
